Want to hold a wedding, birthday party, educational, corporate, or private event here? We have plenty of space inside and out. Because, seriously, who doesn’t wanna have their pet at their wedding or birthday party!

You Don't Have to Have a Dog.

We built W.A.L.K. to be a welcoming place for everyone—no matter your age, interests, or abilities. You don’t have to have a pet to join our community. Being around pets is good for the heart and soul. So please join us. You can buy a lifetime or annual membership or a day pass and take your walks on our elevated track, surrounded by four-legged friends. Or you can come and work or just relax and enjoy a little pet therapy to put some health and happiness in your day.

Yes, your dream has come true. We will offer both hourly co-working spaces as well as private offices and conference rooms. And, of course, strong Wi-Fi! While you work, your dog can have supervised time in our off-leash area. And we’ll have food and drinks on-site so you can stay and play—or work—all day.

Top Dog and Founder:
Meet Phil

Our founder is Phil O’Brien. He and his wife, Jenny, live in Iowa City with their seven pets: Summer and Storm (their dogs) and Mini, Shotgun, Tito, Ginger and Pete (their cats).

Phil has a passion for pets and community. He is on the Board of Directors for The Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County and The Shelter House. He and Jenny have also worked or volunteered extensively for Systems Unlimited, a local non-profit agency that serves people with disabilities and similar service needs.

One of Phil and Jenny’s shared dreams is that W.A.L.K. can provide the type of accessible space open to all types of people and pets.
